Weblink: Pass It On
http://chainstoryevolution.wetpaint.com/
The goal of this site is to explore the way a narrative evolves through the collaborative creative process. 'Pass It On' uses the chain story concept as means to challenge the way we usually work, generate ideas and develop new avenues of creation. To
experiment with the impact that collaboration has on our creativity, we
have developed a model for the production of a short film.
In this chain story-style of development, we are forced to pick up where the previous person left off and trust that the next person will continue the process. In the spirit of this, our website is open for other collaborators to interact and contribute their own media.

(Note to wider public - these comments should be taken in the context of this being a university class exercise! These RMIT projects are very sophisticated, and we welcome much simpler and entirely amateur contributions to Gene Pool too!).
Hi team (Garner, Dan, Rachel and Yiting)
I *really* love the conceptual thinking behind this idea, and its exploration of models of collaboration.
Lots of elements to this project...which are all interesting to delve into for a behind the scenes glimpse at the process/philosophy of the project etc.
Intriguing film that's come of it in the end too.
In terms of the final production: It would have been interesting to amp up the amount of dialogue/monologue to see how that would evolve as a chain story, or introduced a few more characters in the plot to play with the dramatic tension threaded across the 4 team members, and 4 "links" in the story chain. A slightly more complex narrative/production may have allowed you to showcase the chain-story process more.
Interesting to sample WetPaint in action too. Shame about the free Google ads that Wetpaint/Ning and other free social media platforms make you have (unless you pay a monthly fee for premium service).
...I'd be interested to see how this approach might evolve here in the Gene Pool, in terms of people seeding remix projects with initial works/images/words and encouraging others to build on them.
Thanks again for adding to the Gene Pool - Good luck with your next projects. Feel free to add your thoughts here too.

I really like your site. The exquisite-corpse style of pass-it-on letters and chain-letters (I'd say chain-mail but it makes me think of knights in shining armor) is really interesting. There's a sense of hypertext as well, and I really love the audience interaction. Your site was fairly easy to use and understand, and I enjoyed 'Windscreen' a lot as well - you'd never know it was created in such an interesting way.
Really lovely work, enjoyed it.

Hi
Thanks for uploading your RMIT project, Pass_It_On team. Definitely curious to see how the chain story evolved...
Looking forward exploring the project in the coming week...I'll pop some thoughts up here on Pool.
Cheers,
