The Mask has the unique ability to both hide and reveal simultaneously. In this way it has been used both in performance and myth. However in modern society the role of the mask is one of disguise. True identity is revealed only at its removal, its sole function is to hide.
Indeed we have lost the true nature of the mask along with its ability to produce the absurd and the emotive qualities of human nature. Thus my work creates a performance that plays out to space in a never-ending loop, hypnotising the viewer into a curious state.
