The Vessel crew announce their first voyages, a series of improvised crepuscular sonic journeys via a boat form, multi performer, metallic instrument designed and constructed by Rod Cooper who is at the helm of this team effort. The instrument measures 4 metres square and features strings, wood blocks, metal percussion and sails for video projection.

Vessel project is an ongoing collaboration between a network of Australian musicians, whom Rod has developed a performance based relationship with over the past decade.

Rod is joined by three other distinctive instrument builders, John Jacobs /Radio frequency navigation, Dale Chapman / Electronics hardware and Dale Gorfinkle/ Mechanical sound.

This group also features the video artists Dirk De bruin, Hugh Mc Speddon, Anthony Megan, Alice Eldridge and Bonnie Heart all of whom Rod has worked with in recent years in various audio visual projects.
