Text: A cockie or two - or half
A cocky cockie claps its wings.
A cocky cockie flaps its wings and flies.
A cocky cockie flaps its clapping wings and flies and cries.
Two cocky cockies clap their wings.
Two cocky cockies flap their wings and fly.
Two cocky cockies flap their clapping wings and fly and cry.
Peter paints a potentially perfect picture
Of wilful cockies tilting at wilting windmills.
But Goolie the Ghoul from the Pool became vindictive,
And lo and behold the picture was only half-cockie.

The Cockie Flew Upon the tree,
My camera focused to capture thee,
With the click of a flash,
And a blink of an eye,
My white cockie friend,
Took off in the sky.

Oi!
Rossco painted the picture, not me.
Worst poem yet! This i what we want!

Is the Muse who initiates the idea as much of a creator of the painting as the painter?
Anyway, it doesn't matter. I STILL couldn't work R into the alliteration. That is because I am a bad poet.
SO THERE.
(Sorry again, Rossco. I'll write an R poem some other time).

Apologies to Rossco, who was co-author of the image that was subsequently mangled .... but I couldn't get the R-for-Rossco into the alliteration.
Just a bad poet's licence, I guess. Or a poet's bad licence. Or a bad poet taking licence. Whatever . Hope I haven't hurt your feelings, Rossco.
