Today, my second day of work experience at RN, i have been working with the lovely woman at the Book Show.
They let me sit in and observe as the show went to air. The first guest speaker or 'Talent' was Robert Dessaix (who is a highly regarded novelist) talking about his new book. And now i get to the point... his new book was a very small book. Intended for any journey which required a quick but entertaining read. Personally i love neat clear writing and dainty reads.
Because:
1. You can carry them around in your bag easily as they are light and usually slide perfectly in place wit the rest of the contents.
2. If they are written well enough youu can read them over and over without too much time consumption.
3. Usually you dont have the problem of getting into the book, it usually gets to the point quick.
However thats just my opinion and its not to say that i dont love a large engaging read fromt ime to time too.
But good on you Robert and long live the little book!
