How to upload Audio

last updated: 24.06.08

We recommend you save and upload mp3 versions of your audio. This is a smaller size that is quicker to upload and download. You can make a small high quality mp3 file after editing your audio if you select 'CD quality' in your audio editing software. Or if you want to get more technical select a bit rate of 128Kbps or above. Please not that the maximum file size is 75 megabytes

1. Log in. Click 'Inspired? Upload' from the home or your My Pool profile page, and select 'Audio'
2. Enter as much information about your work as possible - that way, it'll be easier for people to find your audio. Make sure you've filled out all the compulsory fields (denoted by asterisks). If you are uploading an mp3 file for which you have already created metadata, you will not have to fill in the 'Title' field.
3. Choose the type of licence you'd like to assign to your work. For more information on which licence to choose, see our help page 'how to choose the right licence for my work?'
4. If your work is derived from someone else's from Pool, write down the source.
5. When you're done, click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page.
