Hi Lo, (sorry couldn't resist)
I'm not sure I am directing this question to the right person - are you a Pool Team member, or a contributor? I don't suppose it matters.
It seems to me that the only viable submissions to Letter Vox are audio files. I don't have any digital recording gear so can't do an "audio tour" of my library. Is there any opening for a 'text only' tour of a private library?

Hi Winston,
You can post in any format to Letter Vox. Because I work in radio and want to promote the aural in the online world, audio is my preference but don't feel constrained by my preferences.
Happy Letter Voxing,

Hi Winston,
Sorry for the really really really late response! I missed your post.
The Book Show is a radio show at the end of the day, however please dont not post a tour in what ever format you can to Pool.
If you can access some audio gear that would be great, otherwise upload what you can.
Cheers,
Lo. ;)

Thanks Winston
I have just looked at The New Canon and as you mention there are some great reviews. One of particular interest was Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. I have read this and such an affecting novel with so much violence and beauty in equal measure.

Hi Jen,
sorry I took so long to reply - I've been concentrating on my own submissions to City Nights.
I'm about to start "Blood Meridian". This year I read "No Country for Old Men" and "The Road" and was so astounded by McCarthy's style that I have decided to read through his back-list. I thought that "The Road" was one of the most perfectly conceived novels that was then realized on the page without ever loosing site of the original premise. When I get enthusiastic about a particular writer, I tend to go searching through second-hand bookstores and op-shops to find their back-list. It's resulted in having too many books in the house, but I love wandering through my own very tatty library to choose my next book from the 100's I haven't yet read. I'm a bit of a fan of North American fiction writers for some reason. They seem to have a great sense of the times, the here and now.
Many people are put off McCarthy by the violence, but I find that it always has a purpose, and this is important to me - there has to be an underlying reason.
When I have finished "Blood Meridian" I will post a brief review. Great to find a fellow McCarthy fan.
