Blog: On the writers' train
This week two Queensland writers and a poet are making their way by steam train from Brisbane to Charleville, and they're posting as they go in Pool. Nick Earls, Kim Wilkins and the Arts Queensland Poet in Residence Hinemoana Baker are travelling as part of the festivities to celebrate Queensland's 150 years of independence from New South Wales. They're being accompanied by Kate Eltham, the CEO of the Queensland Writers Centre.
Just like the first trip the writers on this journey will be holding a number of events, workshops and readings with many local schools along the way. You can see their schedule here.
The Writers have already been uploading some photos and audio over the last few days. If you get a chance, then we know they’d be really keen to get some of your comments and feedback. It's also a great way to get a sense of regional Queensland!
You can see what's already been uploaded and join the writers group here.
We always love to hear any of your comments and thoughts. Log-in to Pool and you’ll see a comment box below this post. If you’re not a member, why not take a moment to join. Better still tell your friends!
