Audio: TechnOMGlaserpewpew!

A minimal techno piece, put together in AudioMulch. The crazy stuff at the end was made by jumping between effect/object presets using a tool called metasurface - I think I've written about it before. As you might have guessed from his headwear, this green alien-guy is being killed on his birthday, which adds an existential resonance to my piece. Without the picture, it's just minimal techno, I guess.

Perhaps the only interesting aspect of this work is how the drum beat modulates the synth drone in the background - but that is more a compliment to AudioMulch's unique modular architecture than my compositional acumen. Other than that, minimal techno has really had its day - but I've never been a trendy person. Hell, I still get a kick out of slap bands! (Look at how they just *snap* onto your wrist... Like *that*! Amazing!)
