Ok cool Thanks Nicole. I'll get rid of the script.

Hi Bridget - I forgot to mention earlier, I think the story is stronger if you don't give it all away in the script. Let the twists and turns take us by surprise. And definitely don't put a backannouncement there for people to read before they've heard the piece! I don't know if the script wasn't there when I first listened, or if I just failed to read it, but your story was more moving for taking me to unexpected places.
Best

Thanks for the compliments. I know you just put the #2 sampler together. But would you still like this piece? I only have this final copy as I lost all the earlier tracks.. dodgy USB's at fault there... I can drop it over in hard copy if you like this/next week?

Hi Bridget - there'll be one last sampler and we haven't decided content of it yet so please do drop it over. It's a very strong story you've told.
Put it in a nice secure package labelled:
For Collection by Nicole Steinke, Street Stories, ABC RN. Phone: x 1428
and make sure they call me on that number when you drop it off so that it doesn't disappear into the depths of our internal mail service. It might take years to reappear...
All the best
Nicole

You're a strong family and this is an outstanding story you've told of the situation your father finds himself in. As Sherre wrote earlier, the simplicity of the telling is a very effective tool in revealing the heart of the story. The music is also an unexpected way into its pain.
Have you kept your original sound files? I hope so because we may ask you if we can broadcast this piece in our next My Street Sampler on Street Stories. We like to work from original mix files rather than the finished render so that we can tweak fades a little, etc, but you've done a great job.

The simplicity of the telling allows this story to let the feeling come through. Thanks for sharing this moving account, and good luck to your dad and your family.
