Audio: Sweet mathilda Waltz
Inspired by the idea of the itinerant seasonal worker returning to the same places of the heart - a bit "Summer of the Seventeenth Doll". The song is structured around a cycling loop which, like a yarn, returns to the beginning at the end. Written some time before the Economic meltdown, it foresaw a much worse effect and also comments on the cyclic nature of prosperity and decline.
Waltz me round again
you know that I'm a drifter
tonight could be the end
Sweet Matilda
run you round again
Matilda
turn me down again
You know I saw it coming
when we clost it on that bender
Sweet Matilda
waltz me round again
Sweet Matilda
down again
Matilda, Matilda
waltz me round again
spin me out again
but you won't see me coming
when it's time to start again
Sweet Matilda
take my hand again
be my baby
be my baby again
you know there's bad times coming
and we both could use a friend
Sweet Matilda
waltz me round again
Sweet Matilda
waltz me round again
Matilda, Sweet Matilda
waltz me round again

great song -- I like your voice--can't see where the spit and polish is needed myself-- Jack

What would you suggest by way of spit and polish Gretchen? Love to get your feedback.
